I eagerly await the arrival of The Great Pumpkin. Around here the kids know that Santa fills their stockings on Christmas Eve but they also know that the adults fill the adults. Understanding that after you get so old it becomes no longer the problem of Elves but now Mom's to see everyone gets everything - making the holidays run smoothly. I sit here eagerly awaiting the snows first arrival of W inter 2022-2023 kick off while I take small sips of my mock Starbucks coffee. It is cookie dough flavored today. Straight up black coffee with Toll House creamer and a small swirl of keto whipping cream that was left over from an uneaten 4 slices of pumpkin pie. The drink tastes nothing like the "real" stuff but who am I to complain really? I am just happy to have some calm before I start a night shift. Yesterday teased me into a frenzy . Day 153. Is that even believable? I can answer that in just two letters. No. Even more unbelievable is that there are only 213 more days left until we start to "ring" in a new year. I mean like, what? How even? How even? There is a question that I am unable to answer. Beings that 1/2 of the 2024 year is already over: have I done anything I took the time to write on paper during the end of the 2023 glitter fest happening around me? I can answer that in two letters too. No. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that all the seasons seem off this year? Can I blame it on that?
