                                     So this is Christmas & what have we done?                                      Another year over & new ones just begun. It is quite unbelievable to me that in just 4 more days the Jolly Man will be making his rounds, stopping by after the kids are sleeping - which is only for about 20 minutes on Christmas eve, you know - there being excitement in the air and all.  Then it will be hours upon hours of opening gift after gift. Each child squealing as they get "what they want" but at the same time complaining because the other one received something far better.   *Insert clapping for me.      I made it through my 1st full 24 hours of Keto. Again. Seems like a sort of game-changer now though. I have "tried" to adapt to "this way" of eating a few times in the past making the journey into something "strange & unusual" to say the least. It was good once I really got into it. Then like always, life happened and it was back not to just the old habits but the easy habits. Lazy ones, I guess you could call them. You know, the grabbing whatever you could here or there whether it be a full on steak *note: I do not like steak OR it be 6 king size candy bars *note: I do like candy bars.        Yesterday, I decided I would take forces that surrounded me & change their path. I know that being a Virgo that is something I can accomplish. Anything I set my mind to. Now of course, I "set my mind" to getting in better shape (last year). You Have Always Had the Power.

        The Redmond House will always be home to me. Anyone who knows me knows that I loved it there and I speak about it often with such heartfelt memories. I loved that the kitchen stretched the whole distance of the house. I loved that the dining room was nestled behind an 80 foot window where you could sit while watching the squirrels play. I loved the living room was just the right amount of space for my cat, Midnight and I to lay on the floor together, watch t.v. while enjoying the cozy fireplace that held the tea kettle that had a slightly rusted ring on the bottom, worn but still served us the hottest of water for the best hot chocolate anywhere within hundreds of miles. I love there was a huge carport with a "shed/garage" that was the serious work place of my Grandfather where the wheel barrow leaned against the entering wall just waiting to catch any tool that leapt from its resting place between the two carefully  placed nails.
