Pizza. Pumpkins & Fireworks.

Roses, Carnations or Daffodils? I had quite the busy day yesterday so I was unable to write. I was going to say that I was to busy but to say that would mean that I didn't care enough to make the time and that statement just isn't true.      As I am sure you are aware, Halloween is approaching  within the next few days. That means "scary" parties, Pumpkin  carving contests - endless Trunk or Treating for the kids. Night after night - costume wearing after costume wearing.        I can only write so much about the endless candy the kids keep getting and will continue to get - well into the weeks following this wonderful sugar high holiday. It is almost time for the sales to start, right? Honestly, who can pass up a good sale even though there is enough chocolate in the house ...

Do-Wah-Diddy.

Today started out like any other ordinary day.                                                   At least for me. Woke up a little late of course because I had something to do i.e. someplace to be. Anyone who knows me knows that I never get anyplace on time but that is alright, at least I arrive. That is what matters most, right? Right.      Now, I love me some real good rain fall. The more it comes down (while I get to stay inside - dry) the more I like it. It was supposed to rain today and for me, this just wasn't the day. I needed to go to drop off some "papers" at this new job that I just was hired at. I really wasn't looking forward...

Have You Ever Felt the Rain?

National Black Cat Day. I really am starting to think less and less of the internet for searching truths or getting facts. I have been waiting to post about my love of Black Cats until National Black Cat Day which I read was tomorrow but then read it was in August again in June. I am more then apt to think it is in October but I am not here to mislead anyone in information so whether it is today or tomorrow or even yesterday - I am going to spend this time to write about just how wonderful they are.                                                      This Is Mochi      I will be the first to admit that I have come a long way since my younger self where I ...

The Way We Were.

If I could save time in a bottle. I wonder if there is such a thing and if there isn't, why not?      Just think of that concept for a minute. You can hold every moment that meant everything to you in a tiny glass "tube" where you could pull at the cork whenever you needed a little happiness and release the warmth. It is funny, when you are a child you just always want things including time to "hurry up" and get here or to rush and go away.  When you get older, that is no longer the case. You - at any moment can blink and in that second - time is whisk away like that of a rose petal that has been dropped by a Taylor Swift look alike off a bridge, into fast flowing waters surrounded by tiny twinkling lights that reflect time that has passed.      Soon it will be Halloween. The week leading up to ...

Take a Seat.

As Summer starts to give away to Autumn - the colors outside change from a bright tone to a deep vibrant hue of reds, oranges, browns. For me, the World becomes alive. Again.      It is almost time to bid another year goodbye - looking forward to what the new one will bring and where it will take us on our next journey. One must reflect the previous while it is all still fresh in our minds.     With doing that, we would also ponder on what it is we are thankful and very much grateful for. I know a lot of times this is more of a thing for a Thanksgiving topic yet while I sit here still trying to locate a little snow on the mountain outside of my window, watching the leaves dance as they swirl around before touching the ground where they will rest until next Spring - I sip on my brown butter laden coffee, pull a cozy blanket up over shivering shoulders, lite a Pumpkin Bonfire candle - while settling in on what might just be a perfect day to be reminded of j...

Happy. Merry. Wait! What?

I eagerly  await the arrival of The Great Pumpkin. Around here the kids know that Santa fills their stockings on Christmas Eve but they also know that the adults fill the adults. Understanding that after you get so old it becomes no longer the problem of Elves  but now Mom's to see everyone gets everything - making the holidays run smoothly.      My husband always says that one of the reasons he fell in love with me was the way that I always made each Holiday special. Though I am not sure what "making the holiday special" really means. I just try to hold up the traditions of what I was apart of in my growing up years.      Each holiday was really something at home. Each and every one of them. My Grandmother made sure of it. I am also sure that most times the things she did was just to entertain me - and since she passed the ...

Bend & Snap!

Hey Kool-Aid People always are more then happy to express their feelings on different foods they don't enjoy. Liver & Onions. Calamari and some even Pizza. I am well aware the list goes on and on for different people. I am no different - though on occasion I will "indulge" in the latter. Now even though I don't like the Liver or the other, there is one thing that I never could figure out why anyone would want to consume it nor how they would consume it is such large quantities.      Kool-Aid. Pure Sugar Water!  O! I have always choked on that stuff whenever it was put in front of me, taking a sip before I knew what it was. It ...

Hey Luke! Shake It for Me!

I have never been one of those - "Oh My Gawd!" it's a famous person type of people. I guess that comes from being around who people refer to the "previous" as "better then themselves." I have gone to so many concerts that it is hard to remember everyone of the singers. I pretty much grew up around Professional wrestlers. It always seems funny to me when someone acts so Star-Struck. Like, what is that even? Okay, so the guy can sing BUT he still eats, gets dressed and sleeps the same way as everyone else does. Ya, he has a good voice but does he know how to bake - it he a photographer or writer? I feel as though everyone has their own talents and some just get paid way to much for what they do - more then others who do just as much or even more.      Like football players, okay, I get that .. they put themselves on the - knee slapper, line all the time and even though I Love My Seahawks (well, Sherman but he is out of here now) would the w...

Breakfast with Grandma in the Snow.

Have you ever had a thought that was so profound that you just had to put it someplace?                         A place to keep it safe? Well, I have and here is mine. These two "flash backs" are ones that I just came across when looking for something. I decided to "jot" them down here so they could long be remembered or read about once I am unable to speak of them anymore.      Yep! Keep it up you guys. I can just hear the sounds of my husband and kids praying & laughing - Me not being able to speak? Wouldn't that be a dream come true but rest assured - I am a Witch NOT a Fairy so that little bit of Hocus Pocus they are wishing for is Not gunna happen. Sorry ;) The Beautiful Pacific Northwest is  covered in snow. Wonderful, wonderful snow. White as far as the eyes can see.  I love it. As cold as it is, my heart warms  with each flake that swirls taking me  back...
